Is it just me or have you had enough of the white stuff now? I am frustrated with white and would much prefer a green outlook.
Apart from that it is so limiting to us with dodgy joints.
I will not drive in this weather as I am afraid of getting stuck or breaking down and being stranded as I cannot walk out of a difficult siutation as abled bodied people can. Therefore I rely on taxis. On Monday I phoned at 6.20 a.m. for a taxi and was told yes I was in luck but there would be an extra £1.00 charge for adverse weather

. I don't begrudge the £1.00 but it seems a bit bizzare. Taxi arrived at 7.35 as booked and parked half way up the hill. So I very gingerly made my way down the path and thought "oh he will reverse in a minute". No. So I gingerly picked my way onto the road and thought "any minute now he will see me". No. I managed to get to the other side of the road and then started to slip and slide up the hill. He suddenly got out and said "are you for me by any chance?" I could have cried. I am so scared of falling over with my knee replacement. Bless him he did apologise profusely and took my bags and helped me into the car.
Tomorrow morning I am going to have to run the same gauntlet again and they have forecast snow again. It is not an option to not turn into work and people cannot understand why I will not drive. I hate being disabled.
